With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Macko of Beacon Falls, Connecticut, born in Browerville, Minnesota, who passed away on January 5, 2023 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of JoAnn Macko to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her husband Joseph Macko; her parents, Charles Gmyrek and Katherine Gmyrek (Kaluza); and her siblings, James Gmyrek and Clara Doble.

She is survived by : her daughters, Julie Risko (Ed) of Shelton, Patty Macko (Bill Petrasy) of New Bern, NC and Katie Macko (Darin Bradley) of New Bern, NC; her sister Marge Reamer of Minneapolis, MN; her grandsons, Charles Macko of New Bern, NC and Jake Bradley of Walpole, NH; and her niece Christine Moskal (Paul) of Hamden.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be sent to St. Augustine Church or please make a donation to any local volunteer EMS Service in her memory.
