Maria Olivia Silva Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2025, Maria Olivia Silva of Beacon Falls, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel S. Silva; her parents, Jacinto Barbosa and Georgina Barbosa (Viveiros); and her siblings, Antonio Arruda, Jose Arruda, Laurinda Melo and Louis Arruda.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Lou Smith (late Robert N. Smith) of Beacon Falls, Luis G. (Wendy Wong) of Silva, Mary Angel Silva of Fall River and Paul M. Silva (Shannon Silva) of Swansea, Masssachusetts; her grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Neil Smith, Thomas Silva, Meaghan Silva, Rachel W. of Silva, Lauren W. of Silva and Nathan W. of Silva; her great grandchildren, Lia Belezne, Sebastian Smith, Charlotte Silva and Grayson Silva; and her siblings, Artur Barbosa of St. Michael, Azores and Vidalia Baldaia of Ontorio, Canada. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silva-Faria Funeral Home (730 Bedford St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (189 Essex St, Fall River, MA 02720).
