We announce the death of Richard W. Cretella Sr. (Beacon Falls, Connecticut), who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 75. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son David Michael; his parents, Louis Cretella and Ella Cretella (Ellsworth); his brother Ronald Cretella; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Betkoski (Yuzwak), Gregory Yuzwak, Leslie Yuzwak (Marcucio) and Daille Varsanik (Allard-Cretella).
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Cretella (Yuzwak); his son Richard William Jr.; his grandchildren, Annamarie Barbara Cretella and Luke David Cretella; his siblings-in-law, Jack Betkoski, Walter Yuzwak and Karen Cretella; his nieces and nephews, Alese Mulvihill (Ed), Ashley Nordby (Frank), Monique Yuzwak, Kiera, Casey Mulvihill, Riley and Franco Nordby; and his godson William Messner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beacon Falls Congregational Church (69 Wolfe Ave, Beacon Falls, CT 06403). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
