He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred R. Sr. Nutting and Marian Nutting (Bodwell); his wife Joan L. Nutting; his sisters, Marilynn Woolett and Leah Bird; and his great grandchild Tristan Rose Nutting.

He is survived by: his children, Alfred R. Nutting III (Martha) and Nancy L. Nutting (Mark); his grandsons, Tyler and Alexander Nutting; his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Luke Nutting; and his niece Lyn Chanmy.
