He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald P. Olson and May Olson (Buttrey); his son Timothy Vail; and his sister Eileen Gaspar. He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Henry); his daughters, Lisa Vail (David) and Lenore Richey (Phil); his grandchildren, Michael Mendlesohn (Lauren), Shane Mendelsohn, Samuel, Erica Richey and Jamie Leigh; his son Donald E. Olson (Michele); his grandchildren, Donald E. Jr. (Tori), Julionna, Alysha Olson, Raquel Olson, Brianna Marucci (August Wiles) and Hunter Davis; his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Sophie, Levi, Braden, Rylee, Cora and Donald Parker; and his sisters, Karen Hanley, Nadine Witter and Joan Williams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
