It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Giardino of Bethel, Connecticut, born in Ithaca, New York, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Tingen and Mary Howarth; and her sister Laura Zaharatos. She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Giardino; her children, Susan Visscher (Andy) of Piscataway, NJ, Lloyd III (Jean) of Brookfield, CT and John (Donna Forshaw) of Redding, CT; her grandchildren, Gavin, Audrey and Claire; and her sister Marion McGovern of Zephyrhills, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Palliative Care Center at Danbury Hospital.
