He is survived by: his sons, John M. McDermott (Stephanie) of New Milford, CT, William M. McDermott (Paige) of Silver Springs, MD and Brian J. McDermott of Bethel, CT; his siblings, John McDermott of New York City, Patrick McDermott (Carol) of West Hartford, CT, Catherine McDonald (John) of Bethel and Anne McDermott of New York City; and his grandchildren, Ruari, Mary and Teddy.
