He was predeceased by: his son Robert Jr.; his parents, Gertrude Hansen and Henry Hansen; his siblings, Henry, Peter and Margaret; and his daughter-in-law Christine Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy of Bethel; his son Tom (Jen) of Redding; his daughter-in-law Brenda of Shelton; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Kristyn, Nicole, Kendall, Tyler and Connor.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (26 Dodgingtown Rd, Bethel, CT 06801).
