He is survived by: his wife Susan Ella Battle (Garrison); his siblings, William J. Battle of North Charleston, SC and Addie Christine Allen (Claude) of Scotch Plains, NJ; and his nieces and nephews, Alexus Battle of North Charleston, SC, Lorna Aminabey, Andrea Charles (Anthony) of East Orange, NJ, Nicole Charles-Pierre (Lansley) of Silver Spring, MD, Colleen A. Webb (Qur-An) of Hartford, Mark Lucey (LeShawn) of Windsor, Michelle Williams (Gregory) of Columbia, SC and Monique Jones (Kevin) of Hanover, MD. He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cross Street AME Zion Church (440 West St, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A repast will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (26 Mountain Ave, Bloomfield, CT 06002).
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Cross Street AME Zion Church, 440 West St., Middletown, CT 06457.
