In loving memory of Marguerite E. (Pastore) Scheckton Nye of Bloomfield, Connecticut, born in Amsterdam, New York, who departed this world on October 3, 2025 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Pastore and Filomena Pastore (Yevoli); her siblings, Benjamin Pastore (Mary), Louis Pastore (Nancy), Ralph Pastore (Emma), Mary Rapello (Fred), Emma Lange (George) and Dorothy Quattrocchi (Alexander); and her husband John S. Nye.
She is survived by: her children, John T. Scheckton of Canton, CT, Frank J. Scheckton Jr. (Catherine) of Canton, CT and Gayle Brick (Mark) of Windsor, CT.; her grandchildren, Amanda Donahue (Anthony), Kelsey Meczywor (David) and Adam Brick (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Desmond, Marcellina Donahue, Virginia, Isaac, Levi Meczywor, Donald and Charolette Brick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church (50-52 Cornell St, Amsterdam, NY 12010). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Seabury Adult Living Facility (200 Seabury Dr, Bloomfield, CT 06002).
