She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Pernal and Victoria Pernal (Borzenski) of West Haven, CT.; and her son Francis Smith III. She is survived by: her daughters, Holly DelGiudice (Ken) and Colleen Hajdasz (Joel); her grandchildren, Katie Giacometti (Paolo), Courtney DelGiudice, Luke Hajdasz, Emma Hajdasz and Kristin Pukas (Dave); her great grandchildren, Isabella, Alessandro Giacometti, Zachary and William Pukas; and her sister Priscilla Watson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Cathedral of Norwich (211 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360).
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
