She was predeceased by: her husband Donald C. Hawthorne; her parents, Herman Swanson and Evaline Sanger Swanson; and her siblings, William Swanson and Nancy Schroff.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Anderson of Madison, Donna Giancopolos (George) of Branford, Jeffrey Hawthorne of Northford and Judy Boyko (Joseph) of Shelton, CT. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
