It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Barakis of Branford, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on September 5, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elias and Antiopi Basel; her husband Stanley; and her siblings, Louis (Marie), Edward Basel (Lillian) and Helen Faraclas (George).
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie of West Haven, Cynthia (John) of Hamden and Karen (Ralph) of New York City; and her grandchildren, Zachery Rosenberg (Ave), Ralphie and Violet Prete.
