James Atkinson Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of James Atkinson of Branford, Connecticut. James, born on July 7, 1942, passed away on September 19, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Atkinson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his sister Margaret "Peg" Slubowski; and his parents, William Atkinson and Alice Atkinson (Plumb). He is survived by: his wife Susan Atkinson (Ellefsen) of Branford; his children, Norma Atkinson of Branford, Todd Atkinson (Sarah) of Canton, CT, Will Atkinson (Laura Ferraiolo) of East Haven and Rebecca Laughinghouse (John) of Danbury, CT.; and his grandchildren, Carly, Gina, Ethan, Jeffrey, Jocelyn and Lana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (1109 Main St, Branford, CT 06405).
