He is survived by: his children, James Johnson III (Danielle Perry Johnson) and Rhoda Phillips; his grandchildren, Walter, Kareem, Meagan, Brendan, Briana, Sophia and Peter; and his siblings, Doris, Lottie and Zachary. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
