He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl White DelMonico; his son John DelMonico, Jr.; his grandson Peter Gaudioso; his brothers, Michael and Anthony DelMonico; and his parents, Michael DelMonico and Angelina Mariconde DelMonico.

He is survived by: his children, Angelina DelMonico of East Haven, Ruby Caruso of Branford and Jean Dagliere (Al) of East Haven; his grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Nicole and Kara; his great grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Jenna, Isabella, Felicia, Anthony, Matthew, Peyton, Aiden, Luca and Avery; and his great great grandchildren, Blake, Parker, Sonny, Dominick and Gianna.
