He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis S. Hively and Margaret Thomas Hively; his former wife Burnette Johnson Hively; his wife Jane Lee Hively; and his brother Louis Hively of Southington.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Robert E. Lee (Maryalyce), Mary Ellen Murphy (Howard) and Marjorie Johnson (late Richerd). He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Lutheran Church (305 St Ronan St, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Beaverdale Memorial Park.
