He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hughes and Geraldine Reagan Hughes; and his brother Eugene Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia M. Livieri Hughes; his daughters, Stephanie Hughes (Paul Sadowski) of Branford, Shannon Masella (Nicholas) of Wallingford and Nicole Hughes of New Haven; and his siblings, Edward Hughes, Jr. of Branford, Gerald Hughes (Kathy Gilbert) of East Haven and Kathleen Hughes of Wallingford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
