She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Caldwell and Mary Lamb Swain (Jeremiah Swain); her siblings, Maryann Jones, William McCoy, Jeremiah Swain Jr. and Tracy Lamb; and her son Julius Draughn Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Draughn, Lori Draughn, Bridget Draughn, Kevin Monroe of New Haven, Karen Draughn of Hamden, Eric Draughn of Whitakers, NC and Vanessa Draughn of Hackensack, NJ; and her siblings, Evadell Plumer, Lillie Cole of Georgia, Lena Hollingsworth (Randolph) of Arizona, Wanda James (Theady) of North Carolina and George Swain (Lynette) of Utah. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the St. Stephens AME Zion Church (31 Rogers St, Branford, CT 06405). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
