He was predeceased by: his wife Theresa Coomes Flynn; his parents, William J. Flynn and Elia Lewis Flynn; and his siblings, Mary Dillon and William Flynn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Dionne (Richard Jr.), Erika Flynn (Kory Downs) and Suzanne Wylie (Richard); his grandchildren, Richard Dionne III, Amber Greenspun, Nicholas Laudano, Ferdinando Varriale and Zachary Ahmed; his great grandchildren, Avery Laudano, Jackson and Daniel Dionne; his siblings, Elia Schmidt and Eileen Flynn; and his stepson Frederick Coomes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North Haven Funeral Home (36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the All Saints Cemetery (700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
