We announce the death of Rita Weted of Branford, Connecticut, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 77. Rita will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George Weted of Branford; her children, Jason Weted (Katharine) of Branford and Yvonne Andrews (Joe) of Branford; her grandchildren, Ryan Andrews, Aubrey Weted and Nolan Weted; her parents, George Barker and Theresa Goclowski; her siblings, Georgia Barrows and William Barker; and her stepmother Irene Barker.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home (244 N Main St, Branford, CT 06405). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Agnes Cemetery (295 E Main St, Branford, CT 06405).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford.
