He was predeceased by: his spouse Raphaela "Rae" Cicio Spivey; his parents, Linwood Spivey and Agnes Griffin Spivey; his brothers, Linwood and William Spivey; and his sister-in-law Jo-Ann Farrell.
He is survived by: his children, Mark M. Spivey (Mary Neal-Spivey) of Cromwell, Linda Mitchell (Jeff Buggee) of Branford, Thomas E. Spivey, Jr. (Juliann) of Branford and Karin Lopez (Al) of Branford; his grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Joshua, Luke, Mackenzie, Abigail, Spencer, Andrew and Kate; his great grandchildren, Melissa and Chelsea; his siblings-in-law, Marie Spivey of Hamden and Thomas Farrell of East Haven; his brother Phillip; and his sister-in-law Sharon Cicio of Westbrook.
