He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Ortiz and Julia Ortiz; his son Israel; his siblings, Carmen, Jose, Maria, Jesus, Santiago, Calixto, Rosa and Luisa; and his wife Judy.
He is survived by: his children, Naomi (Jose), Joseph (Debbie), Julie (Dan), Christopher (Jackie), Sara (Ben) and Anthony (Melissa); and his siblings, Lydia, Ana, Doris, Nilda, Olga, Rafael and Pepito. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Commerce Hill Dougiello Funeral Home (4798 Main St, Bridgeport, CT 06606). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Theresa Church (5301 Main St, Trumbull, CT 06611). A burial was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (1056 Daniels Farm Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
