He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Damato and Martha Damato; his siblings, Nicholas and Anna Marie; and his daughter-in-law Stacey Damato.

He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his sons, Anthony of Boynton Beach, FL, Charles, Jr. of Bridgeport and Joseph (Carolyn) of McKinney, TX.; his grandson Anthony Damato Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL; and his sister-in-law Connie of Naugatuck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
