“Claire was my neighbor when I was a child and eventually as a young adult. She was very watchful and gave us a sense of security and protection. Often times, we would come home from school and forget our keys. Claire would welcome us into her yard as we waited for our parents to come home. We would sometimes play with her granddaughter. Claire was very neighborly and would make us a full plate of cookies. She taught me how to be a kind neighbor. I will always cherish these memories.”
