He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Peters and Clara Peters (Moses); his former wife Jane Peters; his sons, Elmer, Jr. (Pete), James and Andrew Peters (Andy); and his siblings, Evelyn (Ev), Doris (Dorry), Alma (Skip), Norman (Norm), Carl (Curly), Clara (Billy) and Guy.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Peters; his children, Melissa Peters, David Peters and Cindy Pischel; and his sister Viola (Tuss). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
