He was predeceased by: his parents, George Grom and Mary Grom; and his sister Maureen Grom. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Grom; his children, Charlene McLaughlin (George), George (Mary Dean), Elliott (Norma), Laura and Jeffrey; his grandchildren, Blake, George, Maddy McLaughlin, Eddie, Jake, Sami Grom, Elliott, Hayden Grom, Lia, Riley, Bella Hodson, Quinn, Ayden and Ava Grom; his nephew Tom Hanko (Patrice); and his sister Rita Dulski.
