He was predeceased by: his parents, James Keene and Matilda Keene; his wife Lily Mae Brown Keene; his siblings, Raymond Keene, Irvin Keene, Rev. Lee Keene, James Keene Jr., Fannie Hargrove and Mamie Collins; and his brother-in-law John Hargrove.
He is survived by: his sister Viola Hargrove of Stratford, Connecticut.; his children, Terry Brown (Donzie) of Stratford, Connecticut, Sophia "Mimi" Lee Purvis (Equavian) of Maryland and Raymond Keene (Jody) of Stratford, Connecticut.; and his grandchildren, Travis Kollack, Kenyon Brown, Terry Kollack (Mamie), Michelle Lee, Mykel Lee, Anthony Keene, TyShaun Keene, Raymond Keene Jr. and Jade Keene. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
