He was predeceased by: his father Juan Villanueva; his grandsons, John Mc Cready Jr. and John Ernest McCready; and his nephews, Juan Villanueva, Jeremy Villanueva, Victor Charles Peppers and Robert Aleovera.

He is survived by: his wife Edna Garcia Villanueva; his daughters, Shamira (Ramon Ramirez), Ebony (Jesus Diaz) and Bethany Lynn Pagan; his grandchildren, Erica Mc Cready, Layla Sanchez, Jesus Diaz Jr. and Aniya Sanchez; and his siblings, Juan L. Villanueva Sr. (Carolyn), Wilfredo Villanueva (Nayda), Elizabeth Sanchez (Ricardo), Marilyn Peppers (Ernest), Evette Villanueva, Rick Villanueva (Liz) and Victor M. Colon Jr..
