She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Reese and Mary Anthony Reese; her husband John Basil Reid; her son Roger Reid; and her sisters, Barby Reese and Maryjane Kinchen.
She is survived by: her sisters, Charlie Reese, Gloria Cogdell-Reese, Pamela Reese Wardlaw, Charlette Reese and Christine Bianca Reese; her children, Lesline Watkins, Pamella Reid-Johnson, Delvitta Reid and Justin Reid; her children-in-law, Jeffrey Watkins, Jerome Johnson and Shamieka Reid; and her grandchildren, Travata Stewart, James Bennett, Kamisha Reid, Shaquana Reid, I, Kira Sims (LaDarick), Fred Reid, Jinahe Bennett, Elijah Watkins, Jeremiah Shepard, Justin Reid, Jr., Jeremiah Reid and BaselLanae Reid.
