It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hampton Clyde Williams Jr. of Bridgeport, Connecticut, born in Santee, South Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hampton Clyde Williams, Sr. and Eartha Bell Fogle Williams; and his siblings, Mary Gantt, Daisy Bell Sellers, Martha Davis, Zannie Void, Mae Garrett, Willie Williams, Jr. and Henry Williams.
He is survived by: his niece Cathy; his wife Jeanette; his children, Adaryll Williams of Bridgeport, Edward Williams (Adora) of Archdale, Tamika Caleb (Sabree) of Harrisburg and Makeeba Elmore (Lamont) of Orangeburg; his siblings, Cora S. Amaker, Pearlie Mae Whaley of Santee, Barbara Joyner of Myrtle Beach, Samuel Williams (Alice) of Fort Hood, John Williams of Gilbert and Fernell Williams of Santee; his siblings-in-law, Prioleau Davis of Santee, Marion Shingle Jr. of Jacksonville, Harvey Shingle (Theresa) of Orangeburg, Alberta Williams of Washington, DC, Marie S. Clark of Elloree and Barbara Brown of Jacksonville, Florida.; his grandchildren, Ryesheed, Perrion and Aubree; his great grandchildren, Kadence and Brooke; his goddaughters, Veronica Vinson of Charlotte and Trisha Greene of Dallas; and his adoptive son Robert Crowder of Hartford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
