He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Gumbs and Floretta Jefferson; and his daughter Mikki. He is survived by: his daughters, Kristin and Erika; his wife Angela Jefferson; his daughters, Ingrid Charles of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Hyacinth Daniel of Burtonsville, Maryland, Rosemarie Jefferson of St. Thomas and Nicole King of New Britain, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Wayne Jefferson, Ernesha Louissaint, Shanya Sims, Ajani Daniel, Delanie Blash Sr., Delano Holman, Dequan Lincoln, Jai'nasia Vanholten, Faien King, Jr. and Fai'yahna King; his great grandchildren, Sarah, Isaiah, Khylo, Skylar, Charlotte, Delanie, Jr., D'Morie, D'Manie and Ava; and his siblings, Edith Gumbs and Wendell Gumbs of St. Kitts.
