It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria L. Velazquez (Bridgeport, Connecticut), who passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Velazquez and Emilia Sanchez-Vasquez; her daughter Marilyn (Lisette Sanchez); and her siblings, Reinaldo, Emilio and Porfiria Velazquez.
She is survived by: her close friend Wilberto Sanchez; her children, Maria M. Sanchez, Orlando Sanchez, Ricardo, Diana Sanchez, Elizabeth Sanchez, Jannette Sanchez and Claribel Sanchez; and her siblings, Juan, Herminia, Isaac and Gloria. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
