She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Alice Jones-Barksdale and Wilson Samuel Barksdale; her siblings, Edward "Bro" Barksdale, Henry "Jimbo" Barksdale, James Wilson Barksdale, Kenneth Oliver "Orbey" Barksdale, Catherine "Boo" Barksdale-Palmer and Martha Carolyn Barksdale; her granddaughter Lashaya Harold; and her grandmother Martha Terry Jones Barksdale.
She is survived by: her husband James L. Gee; her cousin Joyce Ann Womack; her son McKinley Juney Reed (Teresa) of Stratford, CT; her granddaughters, Janaya Reed-Hernandez, Lakeiya Reed, Lakeisha Reed, Yonneisha Reed and Tylynn Reed; and her great grandchildren, Lamonie Hernandez, Joelle Hernandez, Joee, Dontae Reed, Aron Reed, Saniyay Reed, Maliyah Reed and Autumn Carrion. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
