He is survived by: his wife Lois Somsky Mihalek; his sons, Mark Mihalek (Jaquelyn) of Monroe, Gregory Mihalek of Bridgeport and Jeffrey Mihalek of Derby; his grandchildren, Ava and Lucas Mihalek; and his siblings, David Mihalek (Geri) of Derby, Joseph Mihalek (Sandra) of Shelton and Martha Olbrys of Stratford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
