He was predeceased by: his parents, Ricardo and Adelina. He is survived by: his children, Dior, Mellisa Celeste Hernandez (Justo Alfaro), Priscilla Hernandez, Robert Hernandez Jr. and Tiffany Rivera Torres. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and countless friends.
In September 2017, Robert was the recipient of a kidney transplant from his son in law, Alfredo Perez Jr. who selflessly donated his kidney.
