He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Martinez and Alicia Figueroa Martinez; his brother Luis Martinez; and his father-in-law Luis Angel Berrios. He is survived by: his wife Nidia Berrios Martinez; his children, Roger Martinez II (Josie) and Nivea Martinez-Spellman (Ronald); his grandchildren, Roger (Melissa), Aaliyah, Ava, Makayla and Roniyla; his mother-in-law Rosa Berrios; and his siblings, Dora, Linda, Carmen, Esmeralda, Lissette, Jerry, Mikey and Jorge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
