He was predeceased by: his daughter Ashley Ely; and his granddaughter Jayla Ely. He is survived by: his wife Minister Dawn Wiggins-Ely; his children, Sean Jr., Daquan, Tyree, Tyler Ely and Shannon Ely; his parents, James Ely Sr. and Shelley Ely; and his siblings, Angela Ely of Florida, Michael Ely of Connecticut, Andre Ely of Florida, James Jr. of California and Yvonne Rollins of Georgia.
