We announce the death of Sylvia Smith of Bridgeport, Connecticut, born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her father Zellie Smith; and her brother Steven Smith. She is survived by: her mother Stina Smith of Ansonia, CT; her sister Linda'Dale'Smith of Bridgeport, CT; her children, Chantay Taylor of Norwalk, CT, Scherrie Taylor of Bridgeport, CT and Shaquoia Smith of Norwalk, CT; her grandchildren, Mia Campbell (Khalil), Diamond Masheck, Chanel Shelley, Mianna Singleton, Ayanaa Shelley, Angabella and King; and her nephews, Trevor Smith and Steven Michael Smith. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
