She was predeceased by: her father Candido Gomes; her husband Alexandre Freitas; and her children, Fernanda Freitas and Jose Freitas. She is survived by: her children, Maria Alves (late Jose Alves) of Bridgeport, Virginia Freitas (Jose Sousa) of Portugal, Fatima Freitas of Portugal and Antonio Freitas (Zita) of Ossining, NY; her grandchildren, Marelene, Paula, Alexandre, Carlos, Angelica, Elizabeth, Jessica, Paulo, Ricardo, Joe, Steve, Michaela and Giselle; her siblings, Alexandre Gomes of Mount Vernon, Odete Gomes of Portugal and Ana Gomes of France; and her daughter-in-law Jacinta Freitas. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
