It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Robert Rooney of Bridgewater, Connecticut, born in New Milford, Connecticut, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Rooney and Anna Rooney (Knight); his sister Anna Mae Fournier; and his niece Cynthia Hopkins. He is survived by: his wife Merle Rooney (Henderson); his daughters, Lisa Morris, Jaime Rooney (Mark Burns) and Leslie (Paul Mullaney); his grandchildren, Brian Morris, Kevin Rooney, Rachel, Lindsey Wainwright, Shannon Mullaney-Reyes and Paul Ryan Mullaney; his great grandchild Aiden Rooney; and his great-niece Alexa Hopkins.
