We bid farewell to Elena V. (Ryder) Mace of Bristol, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 28, 2025 at the age of 99. Elena touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Ryder and Isabelle Ryder (MacEachern); her husband Donald; her daughter Janis M. Anderson; and her siblings, Bruce H. Ryder, Zelma Stevens and Dagmar Greenleaf.
She is survived by: her son Mark W. Mace of Carbondale, CO; her son-in-law Lans M. Anderson of Berlin, CT; her children, Donne Shepperly (Craig) of Drums, PA, Douglas C. Mace of Casselberry, FL and Jonathan C. Mace (Debra) of Bristol; and her grandsons, Eric L. Anderson (Elise) of Solon, ME, Lt. Ian A. Mace of Niceville, FL and Cameron R. Mace of Chandler, AZ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
