He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Denise Scarzella Jr. (Greatorex) of Waterbury; his fiancée Joan Sears of Bristol; his son Jiovanni A. Scarzella of Bristol; his father Joseph Scarzella; his siblings, Donald Scarzella (Laura Rinaldi) of Waterbury and Nicole Lubus (Leonard) of Waterbury; and his grandfather Joseph Scarzella Sr. of Waterbury. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, other extended family members and many friends.

Due to the current governmental restrictions regarding the pandemic, a Memorial Service for Joseph, for immediate family members only, in accordance with state requirements, will be permitted in the funeral home on Monday June 1st 2020.
