He is survived by: his wife Karen; his siblings, Paul Merriman, Pamela (Robert Shorey) and Amanda (Daniel Allesandrini); his children, Constance (Peter Evanoski), Jeffrey Van Nesse, Elizabeth and Patrick Merriman (Elizabeth); and his grandchildren, Patricia (Michael Caschetto), Patrick (Kerry Merriman Jr.), Amanda (Garrett Shaw), Alexander Van Nesse and Sarah Evanoski. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
