She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smeltz and Margaret Smeltz; her husband James H. LaRose; and her sister Judith Smeltz. She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa S. Colello (Raymond J. Colello) and Lucinda S. Burns (David S. Burns); her grandson Tristen A. Burns; her stepgrandchildren, Shelbi M. Burns, Paxton J. Colello and Rebekah L. Colello; her brother William Smeltz (Joanne); and her nieces, Sabrina, Kelly, Jillyan and Sarah.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the State Veterans Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
