She was predeceased by : her husband George Appleby; her parents, Joseph Malena and Oneila Malena (Calza); and her children, Anita Bussiere and Richard LaMarre.

She is survived by : her children, Valerie Bussiere (Roger) of Broad Brook and Edward LaMarre of Glastonbury; her grandchildren, Jessica Goodwin, Jennifer Mills, Kayla Allard, Christopher Allard, Kyler Mills, Davina Mills and Arianna Goodwin; and her siblings, Joey Malena, Carmen Florkoski and Mary Gionfriddo. She is also survived by other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
