He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lata and Dorothy Lata (Burdick); and his daughter Kelly Mellen. He is survived by: his wife Karen Lata (Harvey); his children, Tracy Gale (Gregory) of Ellington, Lori Gallagher of Pacifica, CA and Sherri Lata of Ashford; his sister Joyce D'Onofrio of East Hartford; his grandchildren, Ryan, RJ, Brianna, Maxwell, Gabrielle, Noelle, Sydney and Marley; his nieces and nephews, Walter, Jeffrey, Michele, Danielle, Bert and Nicole; his cousin Thom; and his friends, John and Jay.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Skip's memory to honor his daughter Kelly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
