He was predeceased by : his wife Maria Alexandre (Mouta); his parents, Jose Alexandre and Amelia Alexandre; and his brother Manuel Alexandre. He is survived by : his children, Marie Costa (Mario) of Broad Brook, Josephine Portal (John) of South Windsor and Manuel Alexandre (Kathleen) of Amelia Island, FL.; his grandchildren, Mario Costa Jr. (Juliana) of South Windsor, Christine Barrett (John) of Glastonbury, Amy Costa (Rui) of South Windsor and Brenna Kennedy (Brett) of Norwalk; and his great grandchildren, Kyle, Myah, Machaela and Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima church.
