She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hanak and Mary Hanak; her husband Edward Kowalkowski Sr.; and her brother-in-law Daniel Jocis. She is survived by: her son Edward Kowalkowski Jr. (Margie Anderson); her sister Beatrice Jocis; and her sibling's children, Lisa Jocis Mostafa and Marc Jocis. She is also survived by many cousins, great and grand nieces and nephews.
