George Matern Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Matern and Mary Matern; and his brother Christopher Matern. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Matern; his children, Matthew and Rebecca (Lemar); his siblings, Richard Matern (Ruth), Joanie Matern, Marilyn Bratz (Dave) and Jack Matern (Jane); his siblings-in-law, Louise Cronin (Dan), Gil Aguiar (Marita) and James Aguiar (Mark); and his grandson J. J. Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire and Rescue, or to any other worthy cause of the donor's choice.
